The Shimpo ST-5000 is devised to provide practical approach of both stroboscope and tachometer portable velocity in analyzing and measuring various work-piece. The LED stroboscope functionality of the Shimpo ST-5000 is capable of flashing its light in a synchronous frequency to the operating machinery, creating the illusion of viewing slowed or frozen images. This method of slowing or stopping the motion with the adjusted flash rate of the Shimpo ST-5000’s LED lights, machine parts and processes can be inspected for improper balance in maintenance. The Shimpo ST-5000 laso has adjustable flash duration to feature a clearer stopped image and is ideal for monitoring repetitive processes such as on high-speed printing lines and packaging automation queue. Laser Tachometer feature of the Shimpo ST-5000 is optimized to determine the exact process speeds up to a safety distance of 1.5 meter. Shimpo ST-5000 allows the process speed as well as the maximum and minimum levels recorded. A graphical mode of Shimpo ST-5000 can also be selected to show a plotted view of the process speed. The Shimpo ST-5000 also has several time-saving feature which enables operators to quickly record the speed in tachometer mode and transfer the recorded speed over to the stroboscope mode. This fluid switches reduce time to analyze and troubleshoot equipment that operates while at the same time automatically alters the frozen image flash speed to a rate that displays a slow motion movement of the process for improved inspection capability. This slow motion promptly show the user which direction the system is moving. Compared to xenon stroboscopes, Shimpo ST-5000’s LED technology extends life operation due to the low energy requirement while Its large, backlit display and convenient 2-button plus dial wheel operation enable quick function selection. The scroll dial with fast adjustment of flash rate can adjust the rate multiplication factor (up to a factor of 10) to quickly scroll through the entire flash range.
